Sounds like a plan, can't wait to see the pix.

(Frank: absolutely right! Copper heated in the sun can burn you if you touch the bare metal. Copper is an outstanding conductor of heat, so if you touch the bare metal, it will rapidly heat up your skin. That's why it feels so hot, and why it can cause a burn. My point was only that I don't know that it's actually any hotter than surrounding materials, and if it is under epoxy, you won't be touching bare metal. MrKim's question was about thermal expansion, which is a function of the actual temperatures. Also, he assumed that the copper would expand more than the boat, which turns out to be an incorrect assumption.)
