Just kidding.
Not sure where you got the 350-pound payload figure for the West River 180. The 2001 and 2002 catalogs show the West River 180 at 275 max. Probably conservative, as it should be.
The West River 180 has a very fine bow and it'll be a wet ride at CLC SailRig speeds. Wet, but not terminally so.
The West River 180 doesn't have any rocker and I think that will be the most noticeable difference from the newer West River 18. In light airs you might need a paddle stroke or two to get the rail-like West River 180 through a tack.
