San O beveling keel line

Hi, Ive got to 'slightly bevel' the keel line, to give the keel line joint tighter.
How much should I bevel in? 45 degrees from out surface?
Also, when I glue the sheer clamps to side panels, how much thickened glue should I put on it for optimum strength, 1/2 mm each gluing area?
