Another WoodDuck question

In Ted Moores's book, "Kayaks You Can Build", he recommends epoxying glass to the cockpit coaming, but I didn't see anything about it in the manual. Any recommendations for what works best on the WD 12: a. sand and varnish b. epoxy, sand and varnish c. fiberglass/epoxy, sand and varnish
