Anyone thought about creating a wooden, strip built cockpit cover a la hybrid deck style and held in by bungie cord looped around or through the hip braces and/or backband, anything inside the cockpit. It may also be sealed like a hatch cover with weatherstrip applied to it. This cover would back up the cloth cover to keep down the rippling/flapping and make it more aerodynamic at 120 kph (CDN version of 75 mph). Or one could do away with the cloth and create some pattern that flows along with your hybrid's deck. Only problems, more painful to find missing after the road trip and it would be bulky on an extended camp trip...sure likely to keep the 'coons and porcupines out.
