Theo, I weigh 95K which is about 210LB ,the canoe itself weighs 13k, 28lb, I like to build as light as I can , and often carry a homemade cart ,water thermos flask and lunch boxes etc.approx 5k or so.The lapstitch method of construction makes a very strong boat using 4mm plywood.If the water is not rough enough to swamp the boat then the Sassafras will handle it.
