ok,,more confusion, none of these are as good as the Fein but here goes,
Shop-Vac brand has a very cheapo small 1.5gal wet/dry vac that is only what you'd use because you are in small spaces and don't need it to last long. I used one for a sailboat and didn't attach the wheels, used a 3/4" ring of minicell to keep it stable. http://www.shopvac.com/vacs/detail.asp?ID=53&HdnSource=index&StoreID=
This Rigid shop vac is pretty quiet for being a reliable cheapo and is similar to the one I've used with a long hose attached to a ROS running for twenty minutes off/on all day. I like it better than the wheeled cheapos as it won't fall over as easily.
