If you intend to vacuum bag the deck to the hull as in evacuating air pressure from inside the hull to hold the deck down as epoxy cures, no! If that's what you intend to do you will crush the boat, the stress will be enormous as this is not only a large volume, this is also large unsupported flat (hull) panels that will want to seriously go away from the greater atmospheric pressure. Imagine sealing your finished, decked kayak in a large plastic bag and placing it, say 30 feet underwater. it would be a very poor submarine. I kind of like the appearance of a row of copper or brass nail heads sanded bright as a new penny under the finish
