Thats a good point Laszio. I too am not sure how double curves are handled w/ vacuum bagging My thinking is that pulling a vacuum should provide very even pressure on the deck and it seems that this is what is required for a good fair curve. A good vacuum will probably result in upwards of 10psi.

In doing two decks w/out nails. I found that straping and taping were difficult but managable.

Cost is an issue. I have a small bagging system that I used for model wing skins but this is probably too small a pump for a 17 foot kayak.

Anyway, thanks for the respones and I am interested an any additional thoughts.
