That should do it. Make sure you can negotiate the curves with the blade you are using, and mark the cut line clearly. Use bright lighting. Practice on some scrap ply first. The starting slot can be made by drilling a row of 1/16" holes and merging them into a little slot. Ensure there's plenty of slack in the power cord, and take it in stages so you can move yoursef into the best position for each part of the cut. If you find you have wandered off line, return gradually. It's more important to be smooth than accurate. Hope you find this useful.
