Tom- Fear not! I was a completely inexperienced woodworker when I started building my Passagemaker dinghy a couple years ago, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I am now working on a Mill Creek 16.5, and find the basic assembly easier than the Passagemaker. Take it slow, and avail yourself of this forum and all the advice members here can share, and you should have no problem.
