Seth, I live due East from Richmond VA to the bay, and have many nice estruary sorts of paddle opportunities. In two weeks will be doing the Greenbriar River in WV, but only if water is up. It looks great, but you need the local gauge to be between 2.7 and 5 I am told and it is below 2. There is also a rails to trails bike trail there, so it may become a bike trip--was planned as a two on bikes and two in boat trip, but that is another story. The lumber R in NC also sounds good, also low just now, but will try sometime. Would love to hear from someone with local knowledge, which sections of the Shenandoah, at what water levels would work. David
