Gel coat repairs
Posted by Larry Roberts on Sep 21, 2007
I have a chance to buy a very used kayak that needs lots of gel coat repairs. I have built three CLC boats so epoxy work I can do, but I have never tried to replace an entire deck surface with gel coat. I have done some small repairs on my sail boat but these were in the order of several inches not feet. There is no structural damage just miles of scratches that can't be rubbed out. I could remove the gel coat and paint but would like to have that gel coat look. Any ideas ?
