No! Sorry Laszlo, I do buy into concerns of pressure from thermal cycles and I do buy into fatigue failures which have brought airplanes down catastrophically with loss of life. Kayak isn't an airplane, true. It sits on the hot beach until you plop it into the cold water, sudden temperature pressure change in the float chambres. If your boat hits a rock or a deadhead in the water the floats will suck water in; 2 psi is huge in a volume as large as a kayak. Now you must get the water out and repair the damage from the inside. If you must repair the inside of your float tank suddenly a drain plug just isn't big enough.
