Sam Devlin says that he minimizes the glass print through or waffle by waiting to finish his boats until the epoxy has been curing for at least 30 days. It works even better if they can sit in the sun for a while to cook too. I think the idea is that the print through happens then you finish so you hide it with many well sanded coats of paint or varnish.
