Well, you can do it, I can't see any reason why not. I've always glassed the outside first (four kayaks so far). If you have sealed all joints prior to glassing so that epoxy doesn't leak through gaps to solidify on the external side of the hull then you should be ok. That, of course, implies that you would have to take the extgra step of sealing the joints. I suppose it's just quicker to glass the outside first - who cares if there are drips showing on the inside, they are easily sanded away without risking damaging the final finish of the exterior wood. There, I've done it - come up with one reason why not to glass the inside of the hull first.
