I tried the 1/2 weather stripping made with water tight neoprene foam the first time and I could not fasten my hatches with it and I used the same stuff just smaller this time. My hatches are Held down with a Cheap Plastic Throw Bolt and a Slot that fits over and under the deck that keeps it held down. (lousy design I thought from the moment I saw it). The weather stripping does create a seal but only on the front and back of the hatch the sides are just barely open for the water to enter.
