Wouldn'it be a very slow boat, if I choose the MC 16.5 design and shorten it?

Has anybody got a clue, how much freeboard a hundret additional pounds (relative to the full load of 250 lbs) cost in a MC 13? 50 litres of hull volume distributed on a waterline-area of round about 2 square meters would drop the boat about one inch deeper. That wouldn't be a big problem... Is the calculation correct?
