This can get confusing. What you do between epoxy coats can be different than between varnish coats. I suppose the perfect solution will work for both. I found a tack cloth is of no benefit between the higher build of epoxy coats but helps greatly between the thinner varnish coats and is necessary before the last varnish coat (I do not have a paint booth). I must have been lucky since I have had no problems with fisheyes in Captain�s varnish.
