Re: electric kayak

hey guys, sorted the motor problem now, dropped the huge motor and put the old one back on, this time i chopped the motor so there's about 25cm of the tube left, built a mount to hold it under the kayak. it is mounted below the rear hatch (mainly to allow fitting and sealing). the motor is tilted 5 degrees at all times to allow for stern drop at higher power. ripped the speed controller apart and mounted it in the cockpit and the rudder is used for all steering now as the motor is fixed and submerged. it looks like a normal kayak now with no mounted motor stuck out, you'd never even guess it has a motor until you turn it over. anyone got any suggestions or improvements?
