MC13 stitch question

Hello, newbie MC13 builder here..

I am getting ready to start stitching and have a bit of a concern. when I laid out the bottom panel and the bilge panels it seem like the bottom panel is about 1 inch too long at the stern...Is this normal and will it lessen as I stitch?

I re-checked all measurements and they seem to be right on.
