Thanks, Brian, I've done a lot of trout fishing around Lovells and know exactly where it is. I'm headed up that way (it's maybe 3 hours north) the end of July so will check out that other boat if it's still around. Like you, the fact that it's plywood makes it a lot less interesting. Good luck with your's, they are a part of local history that are fast disappearing. Nostalgic comment: back in the old days, those boats all used a piece of logging chain as a drift anchor. The chain would slide along the bottom without snagging but slowed the drift so the fisherman could cast his fly where he wanted it. Of course, he was standing up in that narrow boat and if the chain DID snag...
