Chris, If you are satisfied with the surface of the boat now, then Pre Kote won't bring any more satisfaction. If you have sanding marks from earlier course sanding or other imperfections that weren't removed with final fine sanding (and who doesn't) then Pre Kote will fill these imperfections. Because paint always highlights any blemishes I may not have noticed during the final sanding, I usually use Pre Kote and, in the end, I'm glad I did.
As the earlier thread says, put it on thin and don't try to make it look pretty since you sand most of it off anyway.
