The feather board

Posted by Charlie Jones on Jun 11, 2007

is home made. I cut the slot down the center and drilled and tapped 1/4-20 holes on either side of the blade, so I can use it with the blade tilted or with it straight- My saw is a right tilt- 1946 Delta Unisaw- weighs a ton - Grin.

You can see the heads of the machine screws holding the feather board in place in the picture. There is enouh slop in the slot so I can adjust it side to side as I need it, plus you can slide it in and out as needed. There are three holes on each side, at an angle to the blade, so for wider stuff you just pick the outboard two holes.
