A yak and a pick up

Howdy fellers!

What is the best way to mount a yak (17' Shearwater) on a king cab pickup (Nissan 04)? I have heard multiple suggestions from the Thule and Yakima dealears. I was just wondering what the real world is doing.

I'm getting close to being done so I want to be ready for launch when the beast is finished. Here's a pic of the progress to date.
