I recently cut and installed some mahogany rails and coaming trim on my Mill Creek. The 10' board was easy to find here in Canada. Attached is the set-up I used to cut them to get the grain direction I wanted. the mahogany should be adequate for this project. I don't envision too much abuse for our kayak.
