Yes, about the size of a hand fan is what I was picturing. The "moment" (twisting force) that causes weathercocking is small, I assume: even though the paddler's big, he/she is very close to the underwater center of effort, thus, very little leverage. By putting this device way out on the bow, it has leverage. So it would be proportionately smaller than the sweaty 220 pound "sail" back there that it would be battling against.

But meanwhile, a REAL kayaker who's logged ocean paddling hours has convinced me it was crazy idea to begin with.
