With just one scale, weigh one end while the other end is supported at the same height as the scale's surface. Swap ends to measure the other side. Add the two weights together (subtract the weight of any supports you rested on the scale). Real small differences in the heights of the two supports (one is the scale) won't make much difference, just get close.
