How far along in the build process are you? I think you would be better off cutting the seam, with a dremel tool, far enough to achieve a fair keel. Use some wedges to spread the joint and fill it with thickened epoxy. Put some cloth over the repair and blend it in with the surrounding area. If you are set on making a mold, any plastic sheet will work as a release agent. Stay away from wax paper, the heat created from curing melts the wax and the paper becomes part of what you were making. I found that one out the hard way.-Joey
