Re: Paint Brand Compariso

No sure why you would bother wet sanding and buffing two coats of paint. Why remove any of a marginal amount of paint? I always considered 3 coats a minimum but they were covering a uniformly white surface which would help a lot with coverage. Red and yellow are noted for lousy coverage in any brand of paint so I would love for them to do a blotchy primer surface as a test of coverage. They did not show any close ups of the un-buffed surface which would have added to the report. Nor did they discuss why they felt the need to buff or what grit they used to sand or if they used any polishing compound. The scratch test was interesting since I always considered Brightsides tough but may use the Epifanes next time.
