Reinforcing keel on CH16
Posted by Sander S. on Apr 25, 2007
I have just finished filleting my CH16, and are now ready to turn the boat over, clip off the wires and round off the keel and chines. Isn't it a good idea to reinforce the keel with a layer of fiberglass tape on the outside before applying the fiberglass cloth? And maybe on the chines too? If i have a more rugged keel/bottom when i hit the first stone, I can live with the extra weight. Or am I missing something here, since the CLC manual doesn't mention this?
