Re: plywood backrest

I made a plywood backrest for my Yare. I just cold bent and epoxied two pieces of 1/8" lauan around the front deck beam jig per instructions in "The Kayak Shop" I bought a piece of 1/8 minicell from a kayak shop and glued glued it on the finished plywood with 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive. If you do not have thin minicell it can be cut easliy with a band saw (just like resawing lumber only easier). I just buy a "Standard" backbands from Rapid Pulse now.
