The hand-tool purists will sneer, but having neither a Shinto rasp nor a rasp of any other denomination (or even a common secular rasp), and not wanting to subject my plane and wrist to that kind of abuse, I opted for the drum sander on my dremel. It worked great and took little time. If you hold the nozzle of your shop vac near the business end of the dremel while it's working you'll have little epoxy dust to clean up. I'm nearly finished my boat and I'm still with the same coarse sanding sleeve with which I began the project, so they hold up well.
