electric kayak

i know the purists out there will have my head for this, i have mounted a minn kota (em)engine mount motor on my prowler big game kayak (12v 55lb thrust model). this replaces the cut down endura motor i had experimented with before. as the motor already has it's own mounting bracket it is perfect for this kind of modification. also the speed controller is on a long cable which i have mounted in a centre console. the problem i am having is front end lift when on high power, making the kayak unstable. very good kayak for fighting the tide when coming home from a good day's fishing, just a bit nerve racking, any suggestions guys, thx
