sanded keel/chine fillet
Posted by derik s on Mar 10, 2007
Hey all I was wondering if I have to put a fillet in the keel and chine on a 17lt after after I round them over. There is only 1 mm between the planks after sanding and I am wondering why I would need it? I am planning on a bright finish with no varnish just a clear coat to show off the woods natural color and provide uv protection. The plans from clc say to fillet post sanding, hovever Chris Kulczycki makes no mention of a need. How big a deal is this concern?
