Update

After finally getting the hull smooth, I'm on to the stripping on the SW17HB. I had to do a little tweaking with the forms around the combing to get everything to line up properly. I am learning something with every strip I put down. I am doing my best to stay away from using staples when I can. It sort of drives me nuts to see the glue all over the place even though I wipe it down with a damp rag. I've never seen wood glue turn white when it dries, but this TBII does. I also kno that underneath the rough cut cedar and glue lies a beautiful finish. I couldn't stand not taking the plane to one spot to see how it looks when it gets smoothed out, so I took the hand plane to a small section. I think it looks really nice. But, alas, I shall wait until the bottom is glassed before I do the real cleanup. That way it will be rigid and more effectively accept a plane. To me, it is like looking at a diamond in the rough. Anyway...here's one photo so far.
