Flush Hatches
Posted by Chris J. on Mar 3, 2007
I'm still a ways off from cutting hatches but I'd like flush hatches on my Mill Creek 16.5. I know I've seen other postings mentioning "moby latches" and bungee hold-downs. Does anyone have pictures of either? Pros-cons?
Also....I'd like to cut the hatch opening and hopefully use the same piece as the cover. I've read over the "Flush Hatch Installation" in the building tips section but I was wondering how do you get the cut started and what is the best tool to cut with?
One more question...do I cut the hatch before I glass the deck?
Many thanks.
Chris
