Conundrum. Now there's a word you don't see very often here. Your conundrum is no problem at all. You have a few choices. One, remove the deck beam after the coaming is installed. Might be the best answer here. Two, line up the inside edge of the coaming with the aft edge of the deck beam if you want to leave it in and let the aft edge of the coaming fall where it may. If it's behind the aft bulkhead just round off the bulkhead/aft deck joint that will be slightly in the cockpit. Either way will work. No need for the infamous Viking funeral. Course we haven't had one for a while......
