Need shopping list

New to the sport, currently constructing the MC 16.5. Planning on attending the Canoecopia in Madison this Feb, so would appreciate help making a shopping list. Since the MC is an open boat, our use is intended to be "fair weather" (calm water) .. quiet exploring along the Green Bay and Lake Michigan shores. So, what will i need to outfit the boat and crew ? In addition to items, what tips do you have on how to make a good choice ? What to look for? Recomendations ? Thanks all,
