A minor problem, I hope

I have tabbed all my interior seams with thickened epoxy (between the stitching wires) and placed the bulkheads preparatory to laying on fillets and taping the interior of my CH17LT. I now find that the width of my boat at the temporary spreader stick is 23" instead of the prescribed 23 1/2". Will this be a problem, and should I take corrective action now? The manual says that a 1/4" variance is okay, and everything looks okay, but I don't want to deal with a problem later that I might could fix now. Will I just end up with a somewhat narrower boat if I continue as is, or will there be some compromise in performance? All help/comments are appreciated.
