That's a tad general. It could also be a sign that there was one accident during application and the boat is otherwise fine. In my experience, the pounds overweight situation isn't caused by the occasional run, it's caused by fillets that are too wide, endpours that are too deep and too many coats of epoxy.

But striving for just enough and no more is definitely worth it for all sorts of reasons.
