I while I was at the plywood store I called the manage on duty over to the marine plywood bin. I showed him the 4mm wood stamped BS1088 and explained what it should look like. He was very interested in knowing that he was stocking an improperly labeled product. It seems to be a manager nowdays, you do not need to know anything about what you are selling.

Not like the good ol days when the lumberyard or the hardware store staff could tell you eveything you need to know about using every product in the store.
