By now you've probably figured out you're not the only one to have this happen. I've built five different CLC kits and it's about 50/50. No big deal at all. Just follow the above advice. I really can't figure out how the effect occurs as I've been equally careful on alignment on each boat. Sometimes the bottom panels are longer than the sides, sometimes shorter. Until Harbour Freight comes up with a board stretcher cutting them off works just fine. One final note to you Sea Island builders: every panel fits perfectly. I might have to build another as it was one of the most enjoyable boats I've built.
