Art Work

Does anyone have any suggestions:I would like to take a clip art design from a CD and print it with black ink on a photographic printer onto rice paper. Then put the design on the bow of my Chesapeake 17 .I can print the right and left images for each side.My question is should I put the images under the glass or on top of the glass and then the fill coats.I have designs of;Northwest coast Indian designs,Old-fASHIONED Nautical Illustrtions,Chinese Animal Designs,Greek and Roman Designs,Victorian Designs,and Egytian Designs. If doable am considering A Winged cobra sounds weird but it looks great any suggestions will be appreciated.
