I'm definitely no expert. My only experience here is that I recently finished building the hybrid 17 and since no one else replied, here's my input. I would think all you would need to do is cut down the tops of all the deck forms forward of the cockpit and some if not all the cockpit forms. You should probably start with the cock pit and lay down a straight flat piece of wood from that new lowered cockpit up to the first bow form. Then you could mark all the deck forms in between. Obviously you're sort of on your own to get the curve right. Seems to me that should work. Good luck.
