DIY carbon paper

Posted by Jim E on Nov 13, 2006

When I was in school (10 miles uphill, both ways, etc), we made our own 'carbon paper' by shading the back of a piece of tracing paper with a soft pencil. We would do this after tracing the design on the front side, so you just shade where the lines are, not the whole sheet. Also works with crayons, and with ballpoint pens (if you're quick). I think I would try the pencil first though. Crayons would be a no-no in this application because the wax would interfere with epoxy adhesion.
