Its actually neither graphite or paint. Its water based stain. I did not fiberglass the outside seams so I could stain the hull when I finished fitting and filling the seams. That is the table I drew the plans for somewhere on this forum. It makes the build go so much smoother than without one. As for working underneath I just elevated the forms about four inches above the table for access. I also have special slings that mount to the table. I also made little I beams to clamp the seams when Connecting the long panels. This worked much better than stacking weights. I am going to keep the deck bright finished. Then varnish the whole kayak with gloss. Should look pretty sweet. Thanks for the compliment
