I am going to be building two Chesapeake 17lt's at once. One for my self and one for my wife. I am a first time builder and have never kayaked before in my life. Also I am doing some serious customizing, ie. flush hatches, hinged day hatches, dyed decorative design and veneer onlays. In it for a penny in it for a pound as they say. I hope to have them on the water by March. I will post pics of progress, and frustrations.
