Good thought, Charlie, thanks.
There is nothing glamorous today about a man who goes into an Amish school and murders children. And yet we sit today and glamorize those who did the same in an earlier decade or century. Does time make brutality funny, or innocent?
It would be wonderful if your note causes even one reader who is entranced by images of piracy, skulls, murder, and death to stop and think about what a precious gift life is.
