Often wondered myself

at the fascination people seem to have with killers, such as piracy and it's practioners. By which I mean pirates, seperately from "Privateers"

Same curious thing about this country making idols or at least icons out of murderers such as Bonnie and Clyde. The movie industry portryed them as glamorous rather than the cold blooded killers they actually were. Talk to folks who lived in eastern Texas and western Louisiana during that time and ask what the common folks thought of them.

Just beyond my understanding.
